Vehicle Payment Terms

Cash, check or wire transfer.

  • Cash or check due following the close of bidding or bank wire with $1000 deposit day of auction and balance due by close of business the day following the auction.
  • Possession and title held for 10 days with payment by check for bank clearance.
  • Possession and title held for wire confirmation.

Vehicle Sales Tax

No sales tax will be collected by the Harritt Group. Each buyer will be responsible for paying sales tax in the state the vehicle will be titled in.

Personal Property Terms

Payment by cash, check or credit card.

  • Credit card accepted with a 3% convenience fee.
  • Out of state and unknown buyers may be subject to 10-day bank clearance period prior to taking possession of item.

The Worden Estate nor The Harritt Group warrant the condition or roadworthiness of the vehicles and it is always advisable to trailer vehicles. All cars and pickup truck have current and clear titles. Scooter sold with a bill of sale. Simulcast bidding available on vehicles only.

For the past 63 years, Don has been a fixture in the local used car business. After graduating from New Albany High School he worked side by side with his dad Homer who began the business in 1929. In the mid-70s they moved to their Vincennes Street location. The following vehicles were a few of his favorite and have been stored in his dealership warehouse. Most vehicles are in the original as-found condition, some have been partially restored.

1931 FORD MODEL A 2-DOOR SEDAN

Flathead 4-cylinder with manual transmission. Two-tone green paint with black running boards. Odometer Reading 50,061. VIN# 4316550. This car belonged to Don’s mother Hazel.  BID →

1948 BEAM DOODLEBUG SUPER SCOOTER

Kick start engine, no title, sold with a bill of sale. SERIAL# 60372. Don’s father Homer bought it for him in 1948 when Don was 10 years old.  BID →
